Goal
No teams, no trump โ suits never matter. Empty your hand first to become the Raja ๐; finish last and you're the Gadha ๐ซ.
The deal
4โ10 players, the whole deck dealt round. First hand ever the 3โฃ holder leads; after that the Raja starts the next game.
Playing sets
Lead any set of one rank. Others must play the same count of a strictly higher rank โ or the same rank, which skips the next player (off when two remain) โ or pass (back in when the pile clears). Nobody beats it โ pile clears, its player leads. Complete all four of a rank โ from any seat, even out of turn โ and the pile dies; you lead.
The 2 (the boss)
The 2 is the boss: one lone 2 kills any pile instantly and the killer leads. But you cannot go out on a 2 โ a play that would empty your hand is refused if the cards are 2s. Holding one is safe; finishing on one is not, so keep another card to leave with. A hand that is nothing but a 2 can never be played, so that player takes a last place. Playing a 2 is never compulsory โ if it's your only legal card, you may pass instead and keep it.
