How to play Aapo
2-10 players · shed, watch, call the foul
Goal
No teams. Offload your cards — whoever's pile is empty when the deck runs out is safe and takes a top place. Still holding cards at the end → play Gadhedo for the rest.
The setup
Everyone gets one face-up card (your pile's top); the rest of the deck sits face-down in the middle. Pick next-rank only (ranks wrap: A→2) or next or previous before you start.
Your turn
On your turn you must first move your top card onto any opponent it fits, chaining as long as the new top also fits. Then draw: if the card fits an opponent you must give it away and draw again — keep going until you draw one that fits nobody (you keep it) or the deck runs out. Every player draws, even with an empty pile.
Fouls & Aapo
Skipping a must-do placement is a foul — but only if someone taps Aapo! in time. Correct call: the fouler takes the bottom card of every other pile and the caller sheds one. Two wrong calls and the caller takes the penalty.
Act 2 & winning
When the deck runs out, everyone still holding cards picks up their pile and plays standard Gadhedo. Last one holding is the Gadhedo 🫏.
