How to play Gadhedo

Goal
No teams, no trump. Empty your hand to get out safe. The last player still holding cards is the Gadhedo (donkey).
The deal
All 52 cards dealt to 4 players (13 each). Whoever holds the A♠ leads it first.
Each round
Go clockwise; you must follow the led suit if you can. If everyone follows, the highest card of the suit wins, the pile is thrown away, and that player leads next.
Pick up vs throw
If you can't follow, throw any card (a kaat) — whoever holds the highest card of the led suit picks up the whole pile into their hand, and the cutter leads next.
Losing
Shed well to stay safe; get stuck with the pile and you stay in. Be the last one holding cards → you're the Gadhedo.
